In Richardson, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Texas, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Carnation Auto Spa at (972) 607-4556; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is carnationautospa.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 2,469 reviews, which is a strong result for a car wash in Richardson and suggests consistent service.
Richardson is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Richardson peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Wash tunnel popped out a shield cover underneath my car. Came back to tell them and they refused fault or any responsibility whatsoever. It was very clearly from after the tunnel but they wouldn’t do anything or even apologize. I persisted to get a report done but they blatantly told me nothing will probably come from it. Filled out report and manager refused to sign it until they’ve “reviewed it” do not trust your car in their wash tunnel. Had to go to car shop to repair it.

I keep coming back expecting a different experience, and every time I leave disappointed. The prices are high, so naturally my expectations are too. Unfortunately, the quality of the wash has not matched the price on any visit. All of my wheels still look dirty, my cup holders were not wiped down, and this is a brand-new car that still had the factory plastics covering parts of the screen and badging. Those were removed without my approval. What upsets me most is not only the poor service, but also the fact that I chose to support a local business expecting better care and attention to detail. This will be my last visit here.

This is my first visit to a carnation car wash & I’ve got to say I’m quite disappointed. The gentleman guiding my vehicle into the auto wash was inpatient and frustrated by my careful and slow approach into the tracks. What bothered me most is that he didn’t even clean the cup holder or seats as you can see in photo. I feel this is unacceptable for the package I purchased.

Beware, they cheat on me. Since last year double charge on my account. Have to come back twice. The guy in the office said: they didn’t keep any transactions last year (2005) couldn’t solve problem plus unprofessional he’s on AirPod talking to someone else at the same time talking to me. Bad customer service Never come back

5 stars Carnation Auto Spa at Plano and Campbell is hands-down the best car wash experience around. From the moment you arrive, you’re treated with genuine respect and kindness. The staff is incredibly attentive and always has a smile on their face. They take real pride in making sure your vehicle looks its absolute best—every time I leave, it feels like I’m driving a brand-new car! One of my favorite parts is relaxing on their patio while the team works their magic. It’s a peaceful little escape in the middle of the day. I always leave with a beautifully detailed car and a better mood. Thanks to everyone there for consistently excellent service. Highly recommend!
